Creative web designer who solves problems with user-centered solutions

Front-end developer who is all about scalable & efficient front-end architecture

Hi, I'm Luke Harrison

I’m a web designer & front-end developer from Sheffield, UK with over 7 years of experience.

I have key skills which stretch across the project life cycle; from designing UX driven wireframes and mockups through to developing high quality code focusing on performance, responsiveness and usability.

I currently work at car finance broker Evolution Funding, where I'm driving front-end development and refining the usability of products and services.

I'm also a regular contributor to Web Designer Magazine, and have previously contributed articles to popular websites such as CSS Tricks and Speckyboy Design Magazine.

Evolution Funding

In October 2016 I made the move to car finance broker Evolution Funding - joining their development team as a web designer and front-end developer.

My priorities are maintaining products and services whilst driving front-end development on new projects. I also make sure that the user experience with all our products is top-notch.

2014 - 2016

I joined the internet service provider Plusnet in 2014 as a web designer and front-end developer.

I worked primarily on tactical marketing projects. Typically this involved building promotions, developing sales pages to increase conversion through A/B and MVT and refining sales journeys. I also enjoyed developing tools to improve my teams productivity.

At Red HQ I created many school websites and delivered training to teachers.

From 2010 to 2012 I worked at ZootAlore as a web designer. My first web job out of university.

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a 1:1 degree in BA (Hons) Game Design.

Completed a work placement at Sheffield based graphic design studio The Workshop.

I built my first ever website on Yahoo Geocities. See it here. Remember to sign the guestbook!

Born in sunny Sheffield.
